Intelligential oracle,  Legend of Civilization

The Jiǎgǔwén characters are abstract descriptions created by the wise men of the Yin and Shang dynasties who looked up to the sky, surveyed the geography, received divine inspiration from their hearts, and imitated nature. These spiritual pictographic characters are painted with vermillion or engraved on tortoise shells and animal bones, and they are the oldest Chinese characters.

This passage discusses the development of calligraphy styles for the ancient Chinese script known as "甲骨文" (jiǎ gǔ wén), or oracle bone script. The first paragraph describes the initial stage of the "楷意甲骨" (kǎi yì jiǎ gǔ) style, characterized by the use of circular strokes from the small seal script and evenly spaced characters in the regular script. The second paragraph explains how calligraphers began to incorporate more sharp, angular strokes and a fusion of different techniques in the "刻笔甲骨" (kè bǐ jiǎ gǔ) style starting in the 1970s.

the four beauties of oracle bone inscriptions

1、each character is unique, thousands of characters, thousands of variations

The oracle bone inscriptions took inspiration from all things in nature, and each character is unique and distinct from one another. German philosopher Hegel once said, "difference is art". It's amazing to think that our ancestors were already implementing this concept over three thousand years ago through the mysterious oracle bone inscriptions.

2、vertical writing,water suspended in mid-air

The oracle bone inscriptions laid down the standard for vertical writing style of Chinese characters, which connected the characters with the concept of heaven and earth from its creation.

"Dragons and phoenixes dance, the air is like a rainbow. The law of fire descends, and the sky and water flow together" is a poetic description of a spectacular scene with mythical creatures and natural elements, often used to describe a grand and magnificent event.

3、writing style that is natural and in accordance with the laws of language, brilliant Milky Way

The ancient Chinese sages of Huaxia advocated for a holistic view of nature, where individual points are connected to form lines, and lines come together to create characters. Characters are then strung together to form sentences and paragraphs, and paragraphs are gathered to create a piece of writing. The stars are arranged like a group, forming a brilliant Milky Way in the night sky.

4、spiritual liberation,strange and mysterious

Heaven and Earth were created by nature, and everything follows its course naturally; while humans pray for divine inspiration, and let their spiritual nature shine." This phrase emphasizes the idea that nature is the source of all things and that human beings should follow its laws and rhythms. At the same time, it also recognizes the importance of spiritual inspiration in human creativity and the pursuit of knowledge.

The Qi and the Ji Chronicles illuminate the past and reconstruct the 8,000 years of civilization in China."

In nearly a century, several generations of wise men have achieved great knowledge, writing and application skills, especially renowned for the 'Four Lectures' which have become a well-known academic discipline.

Towards the end of the 1980s, thanks to the recommendation of Mr. Shen Peng, I participated in the international conference on "Regaining the Brilliance of Oracle Bone Script Engraving" in Anyang, Henan Province. While exchanging ideas with experts from China and abroad, I was fortunate enough to witness the spiritual brilliance of oracle bone script engraving in person.

Longing for the beginning of primitive times, I often appreciate the distant rhythms of ancient shamanic songs and admire the wild dances that were prevalent in the beginning. I aspire to the freedom and brightness of the ancient sages' cursive script in my spiritual practice and calligraphy creations, and thus name it "Spiritual Oracle Bone Script" or '灵性甲骨' (líng xìng jiǎ gǔ)."

This passage describes the author's personal experience attending an international conference on oracle bone script engraving in Anyang, Henan Province in the late 1980s. The author also reflects on their own artistic aspirations, drawing inspiration from ancient shamanic rituals, dances, and the cursive script of the ancient sages. They refer to their own calligraphy style as "Spiritual Oracle Bone Script" or "灵性甲骨" (líng xìng jiǎ gǔ) as they seek to capture the essence of the ancient script in their artistic creations.

In 2019, Mr. Chung Chuhung organized the "Oracle Bone Inscription and American Calligraphy Exhibition" and the "Cui Xuelu Spiritual Oracle Bone Inscription Calligraphy Exhibition" at the North Carolina Museum of History in the United States. This oracle bone inscription artwork was loved by international friends and the media. American guests such as Jennifer Roberts, the mayor of Charlotte, were able to appreciate and read it, bringing joy to cross-cultural exchange across time and space.

Today, humans are once again embracing the simple aesthetics passed down from ancient times. From primitive to modern, modernity returns to authenticity, returning to the spirit of "primitive, original, and creative" of our ancestors. "Character, brushstroke, meaning, and spirituality" are all present in oracle bone inscription calligraphy, and should be shared with the world.

This is the theory of "spiritual oracle bone inscription calligraphy", praying for the longevity of Chinese characters and the flourishing of all things. Let us work together with the wise to understand the spiritual writing of divine will, to embrace inner peace, and to restart the natural symphony.
